Happy New Year! It has been a crazy holiday season up here in NH. We have received snow, rain, ice , warm temps, freezing temps, and now we are back into the snow. Gotta love New England...We are currently waiting in anticipation as our van, PrimeTime, awaits its final checkup before we hit the road. We will be pretty much devastated if Primetime does not make it through the checkup. No inspection sticker means a thousand bucks in the hole, a new van and a huge pain in the ass. It has to make it through, right? We picked her out of thousands of vans found on Craigslist. This rig was the real deal and we knew it as soon as we saw her. Two meaty snow tires, low miles, a good and sturdy 3/4 ton frame, and a Detroit style V8 taboo t. All we need out of the old girl is about 15,000 more miles...
I also just found out this morning that a good old friend of mine Ronan Donovan who I spent many fun times in New Zealand will also be joining us on the trip. His boat in Africa where he is employed to look out for whales, will not be leaving until March, so that set him up perfectly to join us for this adventure. So for now there are 5 of us (Robin, Ray, Courtney, Jenny, Ronan and of course Smuckers) setting out for this trip. We will be sure to post lots of picks and keep everyone updated as to our whereabouts.
